A Life Awake & On Fire:
The dgs Mission
You deserve to spend your ONE LIFE free, whole, and fully immersed in your version of meaning, joy, and passion.
The DGS mission is to guide you to live fully awake, clear of what holds you back, and empowered to craft your life in a way that supports how you want to think, feel, and live.
This is about being engaged with your life—not drifting through it—so you can feel the fire in your soul, make every moment count, and, especially, so you don’t miss a thing.
Through story work, I’ll help you notice, honor, and respond boldly to the tiny stories you’ve already lived so that you can celebrate how far you’ve come, discover new layers of yourself, heal what needs healing, and craft even more meaningful stories in your future.
With all my heart,
Marie
P.S. I’m striving for this right alongside you.
Values + Guiding Principles

-
Transparency, integrity, and raw, soul-stirring stories. I show up fully, embodying my message, and sharing stories that resonate because they reflect real life. You’ll feel the heart and intention behind every piece of content, designed to remind you that real connection comes from honesty—both with yourself and others.
-
Evocative, thoughtful, heart-centered. Every creation is an offering of intention and care, designed for you to feel, “It’s all there.” I pour my heart into every piece—not just to meet your needs but to enrich your perspective and deepen your understanding of your stories and your life.
-
This is a practice of turning inward—giving a nod to what already matters, rather than only recording random moments that might feel important later. Most people document reactively, assuming meaning will come. While there’s a place for that, story work encourages you to also document from memory—reflecting on stories that have already shaped you and anchoring the experiences that truly matter.

Openness, compassion, vitality. In a world where many drift through life on autopilot, this is a call to step away from the status quo. How you respond to your stories is where transformation begins—and that’s what makes these stories dangerously good.
It’s also about recognising the stories of others and responding with empathy. This practice creates meaningful connections and sparks real change. Every story is an opportunity to learn, grow, and do better.
-
Awake, alive, fully immersed. This is your one and only life—pay attention, make it count. Absorb life like a sponge, soaking up every story, every experience, and every detail. Celebrate your stories, learn from them, and treat them like heirloom treasures.
Ask often: At the end of my life, how do I want to feel about how I lived? Then, embody your answer. Along the way, be a Daymaker*—spread kindness, lift others, and make the world better. Everything you need to live meaningfully is already within you, and engaging with Dangerously Good Stories reconnects you to that inner guidance.
Daymaker* was coined by David Wagner.
inclusivity statement
Our differences make the world go around. That’s why I’m committed to building an inclusive, intersectional space for everyone connected to my work—whether you’re a reader, customer, collaborator, or part of my wider community.
This commitment spans, but is not limited to: race, nationality, sexuality, gender identity and expression, (dis)ability (including physical and mental health), neurodivergence, body size, faith, socioeconomic background, parenthood, caregiving roles, migration status, and perspectives across all generations.
As Dangerously Good Stories reaches a global audience, I strive to make my work accessible regardless of geographic location or cultural background. I also recognise that identities intersect and shape each person’s unique experience. This understanding is central to how I engage with and honour those who connect with my work.
While I am not a mental health provider, I embrace neurodivergent-affirming and trauma-informed practices, drawing from personal experience and deep connections with the participants in my work. I approach my interactions with care, seeking to create spaces where people feel safe, supported, and able to show up fully as themselves.
Inclusivity and belonging are ongoing practices, not static goals. I am committed to active allyship, learning from my mistakes, and holding myself accountable.
→ If you notice something I can improve, I welcome you to call me in with your insights, so I can 1) listen to understand, 2) do the inner work, and 3) move into action toward better cultivating a space where everyone feels seen, valued, fully accepted, and supported.
I stand firmly against racism, ableism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, classism, xenophobia, and all forms of hate, discrimination, and cruelty. I have zero tolerance for these behaviors. Creating a meaningful, inclusive community requires actively opposing actions that harm others.
In addition to opposing systemic forms of harm, I do not tolerate behaviors such as bullying, belittling, passive aggression, exclusion, humor at the expense of others, or dismissive behavior. Respect, empathy, and kindness are non-negotiables while engaging in this space.

LIVE LIKE YOU MEAN IT.
To live awake, not sleepwalking through—
observe your tiny life stories deeply.
Hold on to what matters most,
document your stories from memory,
not just for memory.
For self-reconnection,
perspective shifts,
and alignment with your ethos—
make story work a weekly practice.
To release anger and shame,
to partner with grief,
to ignite compassion,
and meet peace in the hard—
process your stories, at your own pace.
In the rush and the noise,
when it feels like too much,
please stay;
lean into the stories
that make you feel alive.
For a radical act of self-love,
celebrate your stories
(let story work show you how).
You've come so far—
revel in the life you've already built.
Absorb life like a sponge.
Soak up every story, every detail.
Savor and appreciate it all.

They serve as your inner guide
to cultivate new meaningful experiences.
This is your ONE life.

but to leave a legacy.
