Let one hour a week surge the meaningfulness felt in your life. Start your story work now.
You probably see a stranger, grilling some food, but this isn’t actually about grilling or about the man (my love).⠀
We’re not “hurting” per se, but we’re not “loaded” either. We’re aware of our spending and it feels like we say “no” more than we say “yes” to fun spending.

⠀
So, one luxury area of spending we consistently break the bank on is our food. ⠀
⠀
We eat GOOD ’round here. Ask anyone; they love eating at our home. We’re always grilling or smoking meats + veggies that add up too fast. $$$$ ⠀
⠀
Point being: in the moment before this picture, I thought of THAT. I thought, “How blessed am I?”⠀
⠀
I saw this scene and thought: No matter how much a pain in the ass life was this week, we come together – CONSISTENTLY – for a great meal (usually made in a partnership, not solo) and occasionally shared with other great people too. ⠀
⠀
It’s one thing I can count on. For that, I’m thankful.
⠀
This picture is THAT. It’s for ME; no one else. If I hired a photographer, I’d be over the moon if they connected that nugget in MY head and put THAT in a picture for me. It’s not about my husband or the grilled Tuna or shrimp that you see.
It’s about this small story that makes up a VALUE in my heart. The photograph is merely EVIDENCE of acknowledgement.
This picture has less meaning than the moment I decided to MAKE that picture, because in that moment, I connected to something that REALLY matters. ⠀
⠀
This is #intentionaldocumentary.
