Let one hour a week surge the meaningfulness felt in your life. Start your story work now.
I’ve been slightly reluctant to write this blog, as I’ve had some trouble compiling my thoughts. You see, I just feel like my words could NEVER do this evening justice. Pure magic was in the air.
I was greeted with smiles in the lobby as I finally had the opportunity to meet Cindy. We took the ride up to the Presidential Suite where her parents and other family members were hanging out.
As I walked into the room, I felt nothing but love. It wrapped its arms around me so quickly and eased my nerves – the nicest and most accepting people. I wasn’t just “the photographer” or “the hired help.”
I was one of them. I was family.

I unloaded my gear and got to work. I watched from behind the lens as family members near + far flooded into the room. They greeted each other with big bear hugs, and talked as if they’d never, ever been apart.
As the evening went on, we made our way to Jasper’s where we sat in a cozy, private room in the back of the restaurant. The lighting was warm and dim. The mood was happy. And the food, oh the food.
I listened as family members stood and spoke the most loving words to Charles and Ann. At one point, I teared up listening to Ann tell Charles how she loved him so much.
In SIXTY years she had no regrets and would do it all over again and again.
I watched as Charles surprised his bride with a beautiful diamond ring. The most gorgeous ring. I watched as he was so smitten that he could barely get the words out. He burst into tears as he presented it to her, which made me, again, tear up.
I was SO blessed to be apart of this evening. They could have hired any photographer, but I’m so thankful they hired me. My pictures probably don’t do this evening the justice it deserves, but I truly think I was able to tell a beautiful story.
So sit back, relax and enjoy.
