Let one hour a week surge the meaningfulness felt in your life. Start your story work now.
Isn’t she pretty? 😍
I know, I know…
Who cares about pretty when you want to know:
You’d probably have fast answers if I asked, “{{ subscriber.first_name }}, what are your values? Who do you value?”
I get it. You know what your values are… but when was the last time you went deeper than that and actually examined them?
Say you value:
When was the last time you dug into the many, tiny stories that give those beautiful words a meaningful definition?
When was the last time you drew from your well of tiny stories to cultivate more meaningfulness and fulfillment for your life and your loved ones?
If you’re like most of my customers, you’re like, “Pretty much never… I’m busy, so why would I want to do this, Marie?!”
For the sake of brevity, playing with your stories through the 5-Part story Practice taught in the Playbook:
That’s a pretty high return, don’t you think?
And, THAT’S how this Playbook will benefit you.
The Playbook will unearth your stories and walk you through a 5-Part Practice to do great things with them!
When I was a kid, my dad took me fishing, at dawn, many many times. Today, I don’t talk to my dad much.
There’s no turmoil there, we just don’t (he speaks with my husband at least once a week though 😂). So, at times, I feel like my dad and I just don’t have much in common… and then I worry about how he might feel.
Does he think I don’t love and appreciate him?
So a few years back, I tapped into my tiny stories and recalled the fishing story. Instead of sending your average Hallmark Father’s Day card with a “Love, Marie,” I up-leveled. I handmade a card and thanked him for those old fishing memories.
Hey I never claimed to be an artist and—yes—true story: one time bullets flew by us while we were fishing! I can still hear the fast “whiz.” We don’t know who was shooting or why, but I remember my dad standing up and screaming in the direction they came from to let them know we were there. No more bullets after that 😉 Thanks, dad!
You see, when you’re expressing gratitude, and letting someone know they matter, specificity matters.
When your specificity is evidenced through real stories, it makes your words far more believable. It makes your words go into their mind and hit ’em in the heart (in a good way, of course!).
That’s just one example of how you can use your stories!
Here’s a look inside the Playbook, so you can see the vast opportunities to create your own, unique “Story Plays…”
You’ll use my signature practice to unearth & plot out how you’ll repurpose your stories. Each element of the practice has a story-packed teaching. This includes:
Replace one day a week of the journaling, self-coaching work, meditation, or another piece of the self-care work you’re already doing to pull out your Playbook.
This is a time for deep thinking and connection to the depth of who you are (through your stories).
There’s plenty of space inside to doodle in the margins, to circle, underline, or highlight whatever comes up for you… guaranteed you can’t close this section without your brain buzzing with ideas that bring meaningfulness into your life!
Most people rave about the space for THINKING this book has given them.
When you arrive at this section, you’ll take action on some of those ideas that came up in Part 1. But first, you’ll reflect on some “gut check” questions to make sure you’re doing the highest level of work on your heart. There’s even some action recipes in case you need more ideas.
You’ll pick one, weekly action to do (something eye-rollingly easy!) over 6 weeks. You can pick your own ideas, choose suggestions from the “recipes,” or use the weekly actions I suggest via email.
To keep your plan top of mind, with the clarity you need to stay on task, you’ll have the Intention Checklist as your roadmap.
In your digital dashboard, there’s extra copies of this to rinse & repeat moving forward.
I love this section! It’s all “play”sheets to unearth + contain more stories and plot out all the fun ways you can use them.
“Play”sheets included:
At the back of the Playbook, you’ll have your very own Tiny Story List.
This list is your personal menu of stories—a total asset for:
Personally, just looking at my stories in this list format makes me feel like I’ve lived a fulfilling life already—and I guarantee you’ll feel just as fulfilled and awake when you create your own!
Your tiny story list is the best kind of “pep talk” for an empty day…
…or when life is so good and you can’t picture it getting any better, you can lean into these stories for a specific, meaningful “thank you, more please!”
Each line on the Tiny Story List includes the OPECC checkpoints, so you can process each story with the 5-Part Practice & keep track of where you’re at right inside your book.
Here’s a peek into my personal Tiny Story List:
So there you go.
You might feel recharged by self-care, a little lighter after a shopping spree, or on an ego high when you hit a goal… but I don’t think there’s anything more fulfilling (and rewarding) than the level of AWAKE you feel after spending a little time with your stories.
What things are you doing in your life to feel more fulfilled?
What actions are you taking to bring more meaningfulness in your day-to-day?
One tiny story can change everything.
This is the Playbook to notice your stories.
