Let one hour a week surge the meaningfulness felt in your life. Start your story work now.
How do you photograph an adult, a man, a teenager, a couple… etc… in a documentary-style way? This question is asked a lot around the Fearless and Framed community. My response is always this simple: photograph them being them, doing what they do. The results will always leave you with a photo that sums up your subject’s legacy and is the secret to creating an iconic photo of a man or anyone else. And this iconic photo from Cassey Ramesz is a perfect example of how easy it can be.
What Cassey Ramesz has to say about her iconic photo:
“This particular image is iconic to me because it was a few days after my cousin had returned for a long trip to ireland to trace our family’s roots. We drove to a very cool abandoned orchard, and this shot has always stuck with me. It has the rolling hills of our home town in the background, the smoke from his hand rolled cigar, and his bodhran (drum) that was echoing through the orchard. It was a surreal and pure moment, and I was so glad to be part of it.”
